May Favourites

Hey everyone! In this post I'm going to show you a few beauty products that I have been loving during the month of may. I have makeup products to show you, along with some hair products too:

I have done ALOT of shopping this month and I've picked up a huge amount of makeup and hair care items (defiantly way more than I need!) but I've found some amazing products that I'm excited to share with you all.

Firstly, my favourite hair care product of the month has to be this Lee Stafford bleach blondes tone correcting conditioning spray. Firstly, the colour of the product is amazing! It's purple based which helps target brassy tones in the hair with sparkles dispersed in the liquid which helps to give my hair an amazing shine. I'm a natural brunette so I need to bleach my hair every month in order to keep my hair blonde, which often makes my hair very brittle and damaged. But this product is amazing at keeping my hair looking healthy and shinny, and toning the brassiness. I apply this product to wet hair and blow-dry as usual. It doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down with product as most hair care product do, and helps to maintain any cool toned platinum shades in my hair, and for £8.99 this product is a must have for any blonde!

My next favourite of the month is this Clinique beyond perfecting foundation which I absolutely love! I have this foundation in the shade Alabaster which is slightly too dark for me, so I tend to wear it when I have a tan. But nevertheless this product is still incredible. I decided to pick up this foundation as its a two in one product- both foundation and concealer. Although I still have to use concealer when wearing this as it doesn't quite cover everything I need it to, the coverage is defiantly medium-high so a little bit of product defiantly goes along way. I have very oily skin and this foundation seems to last very long on my skin- which is a quality that I struggle to find in a foundation. The applicator is similar to that of a lip-gloss, which sounds unusual but I found it to be really handy as It meant that I didn't waste any product. The only negative of this product is that it does sometimes settle into the creases of my skin, but for £25 I would defiantly recommend.

This was my first ever NARS product that I've ever purchased, but I absolutely love it. This NARS Copacabana illuminator is a liquid highlighter which can be used on any highpoints on the face to give an amazing shine to the skin. Liquid highlighters have always scared me as I have oily skin, therefore I though that this would be hard to use as it would make my face look like a giant glitter ball!. But after using this a few times, I absolutely adore it. It's a pinkie toned highlighter that's blends into the skin really nicely, and lasts on the skin all day to give an amazing glow- perfect for summer!

Lastly, but certainly not least I have this MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer in the shade harmony. Liquid lipsticks have become very popular lately, but some of the top end liquid lipsticks can be very pricey, but for £3 this product is a steal! The colour harmony is a brown/nude colour which has a matte finish. It does feel a bit dry on the lips but the pigmentation is amazing for the price and it lasts a long time, making it a perfect and easy shade to wear during the day.

Here is a picture showing a few of the product I have mentioned. I have the Copacabana highlight along the highpoints of my face (the bridge of my nose and check bones) with the MUA lip lacquer on the lips.

I absolutely love all the product I've mentioned in my post- and I recommend everyone to try these products out and give them a go, hope you enjoyed!

Two Faced Peach Palette Review

In Today's post I'm going to review the new Two faced peach palette. I've never tried any products from Two faced before so I was super excited to get my hands on this product and give it a try!

Price: I purchased this palette for £39 which as being a student I found to be quite pricey, but after using it for a couple weeks I can totally justify spending the money as the eyeshadows are really pigmented and they blend really well.
Packaging: I absolutely love the packaging of this palette! The colours are amazing and the palette easily fits into my makeup bag. It has a fairly decent sized mirror making it good for traveling, with a snazzy magnetic lid to close it.
Pigmentation: The palette comes with 18 eye shadow shades- all of which smell of sweet peaches which you can smell immediately as you open up the palette. I'm not a huge fan of the smell as it's quite intense, but its worth it for the amazing pigmentation of the shadows. The colours appear true to colour and they blend amazing, making applying eye shadow really easy whether you're doing an everyday look in a rush or a dramatic Smokey eye for an evening out.

(Swatches- left to right of palette)

My favourite eye shadows from this palette would be Luscious (a pretty shimmery pink- easy to wash over the eye when in a rush), Bellini (a more intense pink shade with gold shimmer), Caramelized (a nude brown with glitter, easy to blend in the crease of the eye to create a smoky eye) and White peach (an amazing white that's perfect for using as a base colour all over the lid). I would have expected more pinky toned shades in this palette considering it was peach inspired- but having said that, I would happily use every shade in the palette as they are easy to wear and worth the investment. My only wish it that they would have put a shimmery highlight shade that you could use on the brow bone so that you would have all the colours you need to create a full eye look.

I have used this eye shadow every single day this week and have created so many eye looks with it. In the picture above I used White peach as a base colour all over my lid, with Puree, Summer Yum and Caramelised blended into the crease. In the very outer corners of my eye I added the shade Peach pit to intensify the colour and then the colour Luscious in my inner tear ducts to brighten the eye.

Overall I would recommend this palette as the pigmentation and quality of the eye shadows are amazing. Two Faced eye shadows are defiantly worth the hype, and despite the slightly heavy price tag, I think its a must in anyone's makeup collection.

Hope you enjoyed my review, new blog posts coming soon!
